Fun Faces

Ian Markon

Intermediate Painting

Saturday, March 6 2021

13:00 - 15:00

In this class, we will learn how to paint fun and characterful faces on our miniatures. I will paint an example miniature (in this case a chibi miniature so that the face is big enough for you to see while we are working on her, but the techniques apply to all miniatures with smaller faces as well) while giving you step-by-step instructions for how to follow along on your own miniature at home. Since most miniatures have faces, this a good class for all skill levels of painter, but you will get more out of the class the more brush control you have. Please bring your favorite brush (preferably a good Kolinsky sable one) and tons of zeal for learning!
Prep:
The only prep work you will need to do is to wash your bones miniature with soap and water before the class; no priming necessary!
Materials:
77715: Small World Arnise; 09066: Blue Liner; 09039: Pure White; 09461: Vampiric Mist; 09422: Nightsky Indigo; 09098: Clear Magenta; 09443: Bronzed Flesh; 09445: Peachy Flesh You will also need a light and dark version of your eye color of choice (example: light and dark blue, or light and dark green, or etc.). You will also probably want a makeup color or two (example: green or purple for eye shadow; purple, pink, or red for lipstick; etc.).
