When painting my first faction fight pice, I realized lemon yellow and besmara black created a nice green color. I decided I wanted to challenge myself to do an ombre color transition. I did this by starting with lemon yellow, then 4:1 ration yellow to black, then 3:1 and down to 1:1. The beige colors were made from mixing gem purple with lemon yellow in a 2:1 ratio. So my sneaky rocky is sneaky in that it is not the expected colors from the cyberists choices.

Was the Quad Color Clash not hard enough?!
Introducing a harder version of a limited palette challenge for Reaper Virtual Expo. Choose a faction option, then paint a model with shades of the chosen faction, all the info on what colors are allowed for each option, and the rules for entering are below.

Overview:

  • Each faction has two different options for color choices, each option has three colors associated with it.
  • Choose one of these options and those are the only colors that you can use.
  • Black and white are not allowed like they are in Quad Color Clash.
  • You can prime your models with Black, White, OR Grey.
  • You will need a before picture and an after picture like the submission example. 2:1 w:h ratio. The final image will be resized to fill a 1000x500px space.
  • Once submitted, your entry goes into an approval queue where it will wait for us to review it for content. Reaper reserves the right to deny the posting of any image that does not meet our community guidelines for approriate content.
  • Deadline for submissions: Sunday March 7th 12:00 PM Central.
